Annual Installation Dinner - Each January the MNCBIA dinner meeting sees the installation of the new Officers and Directors who will serve on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for that calendar year. The dinner takes place at the Bethesda Marriott Hotel.
International Builders Show – NAHB’s annual Builders Show takes place in the beginning of the year. For details and registration information go to www.buildersshow.com.
Celebrity Chefs/Table Top Night– In March of each year the MNCBIA holds Celebrity Chefs when builder and associate members get a chance to show off their culinary skills. It is also a chance for associate members to display their services and products at table-top exhibit spaces.
Tennis Tournament - MNCBIA's annual tennis tournament is held in May at Congressional Country Club.
Builder/Banker Breakfast – MNCBIA’s Real Estate Finance committee sponsors two Builder/Banker breakfast meetings each year, usually in the Spring (May) and the Fall (October). For information on upcoming breakfasts email Diane Swenson or call 301-445-5401.
NAHB Board Meetings – NAHB holds two Board meetings each year, Spring Board, held in Washington, DC, in May and Fall Board, held in varying locations in September. For information visit www.nahb.org.
The PROs Awards – The PROs recognize the superintendents, project managers and customer service personnel who manage the building site, oversee the construction, and work with the homebuyers. The event is co-sponsored by MNCBIA and NVBIA. Nominees are accepted beginning in February. The awards are presented in June at Smokey Glen Farm in Gaithersburg. Golf Tournament - The association holds a Summer tournament in June.
CFO Roundtables – The CFO Roundtables are semi-annual education programs for the CFOs of building and development member firms of MNCBIA. The Roundtables are planned and sponsored by the Real Estate Finance Committee.
BIA's Business Networking Events - BIA holds these events throughout the year at various locations as an opportunity for members and non-members to socialize and network in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. Contact Jean Mathis for details.
50+ Housing Council Breakfast Series –The 50+ Housing Council sponsors a series of breakfasts throughout the year featuring a variety of guest speakers discussing the active adult housing market. For information on upcoming events contact Annette Rosenblum or call 301-445-5407.
The Great American Living Awards - The GALA Awards, sponsored by MNCBIA and NVBIA, is the program for new homebuilders, developers, architects, salespeople, marketers and interior designers. For information on entering the awards or becoming a sponsor go to www.greatamericanlivingawards.com.
Environmental Awards – These annual awards are presented to developers and builders whose projects demonstrate a commitment to the maintenance and enhancement of the environment above and beyond local and state mandates. Member of the Year Awards – These awards are presented annually to a Developer, Builder (Small, Medium, Large and High Volume Production); Associate and Subcontractor. Multifamily Trends Conference - The MNCBIA and the NVBIA co-sponsor the annual Multifamily Trends Conference in November at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Tysons Corner, VA.
Leadership Awards – These awards include the Milton E. Kettler Award, which is presented in recognition of a lifetime achievement of unselfish participation, contributions and service not only to the MNCBIA and the building industry but to the general community and society and The Joseph C. Rodgers Sr. Award, which is presented to a non-builder member in recognition of outstanding contributions in leadership, membership support and overall Association participation. Winter Gala & Silent Auction - This annual black-tie reception and dinner is held in December at the Columbia Country Club. A Silent Auction takes place during the reception to benefit the Home Builders Care Foundation (501-c-3 affiliated Charitable Foundation). Kettler Award for lifetime achievement, and the Joseph C. Rodgers Sr. Award to the Associate Member of the Year.
Holiday Toy Drive - Each year members of the MNCBIA contribute generously to the Toy Drive conducted by the Home Builders Care Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit Community Outreach Program affiliated with MNCBIA. The Toy Drive is announced in October with the naming of recipient group and a "wish list" of toys being published on this Web site.
