PROS Awards FAQ
What are the PROS Awards?
The PROS Awards, sponsored by MNCBIA and NVBIA, recognize and honor the superintendents, project managers and customer service personnel who manage the building site, oversee the construction and work with the homebuyers. The awards are held on the first Tuesday in June at Smokey Glen Farm in Gaithersburg. Winners are featured in BUILDING in Maryland & Washington, DC and on MNCBIA's website.
The Trade Show
In addition, there’s the PROS Expo tent, where exhibitors showcase their latest products and services. This informal tabletop trade show is part of the networking. Builder’s staffs can learn about new products and chat with suppliers.
The Awards
The evening is capped off with the announcement of the Award recipients. Award categories include Best Superintendent, Best Project/Production Manager,
Best Land Development Superintendent, Best Purchasing Manager and Best Customer Service Representative, both in the field and in the office.
The Fun, Games & Food
The PROS Awards is for having fun and enjoying good food, drink and company. Many companies send their whole team to this event, turning it into their own summer outing. Attendees can play volleyball, basketball, miniature golf, horseshoes and enjoy other great activities. When the dinner bell rings it’s time to enjoy the best BBQ ribs & chicken around, but be sure to save room for pie!
The Networking
The PROS Awards is one of the most well attended events of the year. With a large number of builder companies and their staffs attending, it naturally attracts subs & suppliers from throughout the DC-MD-VA region. It’s a great place to catch up with friends and colleagues and to make new contacts.
